Innovation Exploration Series:
Expand your design skills with Minecraft!
Students will experience a variety of tasks designed to foster an understanding of proportional and algebraic reasoning, scale, and coordinate plane geometry.
Possible tasks may include:
• A scaled and creative replication of a classroom size measured and built in Minecraft
• A scaled monument such as a national monument, sports stadium, historical structure, park, or town researched and scaled in Minecraft
• A Parkour course or adventure map with jumps denoting coordinate language and slopes
• 2D pixel art with options for 3D exploration
There are currently two Minecraft Mathematic after-school sessions open for registration.
2 Sessions Offered:
Wednesdays, January 24- February 14, 2018
Mondays & Wednesdays, February 26- March 7, 2018
Location: The PAST Innovation Lab, 1003 Kinnear Road
Grades/Ages: 3rd-5th Grade/8-11 years old
