Turning Student Innovations into Businesses
Brought to you by Junior Achievement and PAST Innovation Lab
Attention young entrepreneurs, want to learn how to take your great idea and turn it into a business? Then join us and learn from the experts! Mike Fulwider, Junior Achievement, and volunteers from business and higher education will help students through the process from idea creation to reality.
This JA Company Program unlocks the innate ability in high school students to fill a need or solve a problem in their community by launching a business venture and unleashing their entrepreneurial spirit. The program focuses on the creation of business ideas, market research, creating a business structure, management and leadership, marketing, sales, supply chain management and finance. This program is student led, supported by adult volunteers and entrepreneurs with expertise in business start-up, leadership, and organizational development. Students take ownership of the company operations, build, and manage their business.
