Building Cities, Engaging Students

PAST has been working with teachers and administrators at Baldwin STEM Middle School (Reynoldsburg, OH), bringing transdisciplinary problem-based learning (TPBL) to their classrooms.  Recently students held their first City Showcase, featuring cities designed and built by sixth grade students who worked in teams using math, science and social studies standards.

“I am super proud of our student’s effort and learning, our teachers’ growth in TPBL,” said Michelle Watts, Principal at Baldwin MS. “Our lead teachers are stepping up to move the work forward and establish STEM Middle’s new normal. We had 203 people attend the 6th grade only event.”

TPBL engages educators and students! Congratulations to the entire Baldwin MS community – we could we are so happy to work with you!
