On March 13th I join the scientific expedition exploring the lasting affects of the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill. I will be part of a group of biologists, geologists, engineers, and maritime archaeologists. I have two jobs on the expedition — I will be part of the archaeological team looking at the 6 shipwrecks we plan to study and I will be the your link to education on the trip.
I will begin posting activities, questions, observations and interviews, tomorrow in anticipation of all we must accomplish while at sea. I hope you and your students will join me, take on some of the challenges, and get engaged.
